She had a heart, the best there was,
non could ever compare.
and every person she ever met,
her heart she would share.

Her eyes were sweet,
her heart was brave,
her courage non would dare

until one day she met her match
a pain that non could bare

It went unoticed for awhile
she felt the same, day by day.

but it wasn't long before her
heart would start to crack
and leave her in dismay

but still she carried her heart
closer now than ever before
and still she continued kindness
and practiced it more and more

until one day it finally broke
from all the pain and abuse
the things that people said were lies
she was far from loose

but feelings of unworthiness
festered until they prevailed
and only memories were
and all the people she failed

And still she waits, this very day
waiting to be repaired
waiting for someone she knew
to tell her that he cared
